I didn’t know ANYTHING about starting and running a business, so this was my first HUGE challenge. I had to hire a business coach at the time that I could barely afford to help guide me in starting and actually get really clear about what I wanted to do. I also faced insecurities and doubts about being qualified or experienced enough to help someone else but deep down inside I knew this is what I was to do.

Andrea Ellis

Founder: Fear Free Living LLC

Can you tell us what type of business you run and how long you've been operating this business?

I’m the Founder and CEO of Fear Free Living LLC. It’s a soul and mind wellness company that specializes in helping Christian women overcome their fear issues. I coach women through their fear struggles, so they can live life on their own terms instead of being CONTROLLED by fear. My business was founded in 2017.

Can you share with us some details about how you got started in the Business Coaching Industry?

My business was born out of my own struggle of being controlled by fear. This was once such an issue in my life that paralyzed me from fulfilling my purpose and doing the things that I needed to do at the time. After I got sick and tired of living this way, I began to do the deeper inner work to get to the root of my fears and to get inner healing. Now that I’m on the other side of things, it birthed a passion in me to help other women who had these same struggles to be free as well. My passion to help other women overcome their fears is what really gave birth to Fear Free Living LLC. I truly consider it my calling.

If you've had some challenges and roadblocks along the way, Can you share with us what some of those challenges have been in regards to starting or running this business and how you overcame them?

There were so many challenges. In the beginning, I didn’t know ANYTHING about starting and running a business, so this was my first HUGE challenge. I had to hire a business coach at the time that I could barely afford to help guide me in starting and actually get really clear about what I wanted to do. I also faced insecurities and doubts about being qualified or experienced enough to help someone else but deep down inside I knew this is what I was to do. I had to work through this by changing my mindset, taking action anyway and through gaining experience overtime  and seeing my client results, those insecurities dissolved with time.

I also had to work through my anxiety of being in front and being on camera because this was not comfortable for me at first. Going up, I was often the person in the background or behind the scenes. I didn’t want to be in front but with my business, I learned I had to be in front. So, I had to push through my feelings of being anxious when on camera and doing livestream on social media until it no longer became an issue. Somethings you will never overcome unless you do it afraid. So, I had to come out of my comfort zone to do many things until they weren’t an issue anymore.

I know from our previous talk that you work primarily with Christian women. What made you want to inspire women and give them hope?

I wanted to inspire women and give them hope because I knew that they could do great things when fear is no longer an issue in their lives, meaning they are no longer controlled by it. Fear will come up at times but you don’t have to be controlled by it. The transformation that took place in my life, I wanted to help other women have the same experience. I also knew from my own experience that when you are stuck in fear, you are robbed of so many possibilities in life that people often don’t realize. I wanted to help women be free so they could truly live their best life now.

You mentioned “You really don’t love yourself if you’re dependent on other people’s approval.” Can you expound on that some, and how it influences the help that you provide?

Sure.. When you have a healthy love of self, you don’t NEED or DEPEND on others’ approval of you. You find affirmation and validation from within. You are not depending and looking for outward approval. You can receive approval and even be happy about it but you are not looking for it to validate and affirm you. There’s a difference.

Now that I’ve grown to love myself and to know that God loves me, I accept myself and I don’t need someone to accept me to feel good about myself. If it happens that they accept me, it’s nice but I’m not DEPENDENT upon it. You see the difference.  In addition, it influences the help I provide because I encourage and help my clients to learn to love themselves and to get their approval from God and not put all their trust in what mankind thinks about them.

When it comes to becoming self aware, what sets Fear Free Living apart from similar businesses in your industry?

As I mentioned in an earlier question, I truly believe this is my calling birth out of my own story and journey. I believe I’m anointed and appointed to do this work. When something is anointed and appointed by God, there’s a divine endowment, empowerment and endorsement from God Himself that causes transformation in one’s life. Through my coaching, my clients' lives have not just changed but have transformed. My heart is so into what I do and that transfers over into my coaching.

With all that you've accomplished so far, did setting goals contribute to your success so far?

Yes, I believe you must set goals for your business and then devise a plan to accomplish those goals. It keeps you focused and on track for what you are trying to accomplish each day, week, month and year. This keeps your focus strong and keeps you more clear on what is necessary to make things happen.

Here at GoalSetters, we like to say " A Goal Without A Plan is Just A Wish", what's your advice on the best way that people can go about accomplishing the goals that they set?

Set a goal that’s attainable, clear and concise. Put it on paper and put it in front of you where you can see it daily. Set a date when you want to accomplish it. Create a plan of how to accomplish it. What task you need to do, when to do it and how long you need to do it for. Be clear on the actions you need to take and what you need to learn to do it. Have someone or a community to keep you accountable. Most people will not accomplish their goals without accountability. Without a plan to accomplish the goal and without accountability, it most likely WILL NOT happen, so these two things are very important to accomplishing your goals.
