I’ve always loved finance, helping others find confidence in their numbers. My mom and I always talked about me starting my business, she passed in 2019 and I decided that I would no longer allow my limited beliefs to limit my abilities to do what I love.

Jessica Bell

CEO B143 Tax Co.

Can you tell us what type of business you run and how long you've been operating this business?

Bookkeeping firm, almost 2 years.

Can you share with us some details about how you got started in the Bookkeeping Industry?

I’ve always loved finance, helping others find confidence in their numbers. My mom and I always talked about me starting my business, she passed in 2019 and I decided that I would no longer allow my limited beliefs to limit my abilities to do what I love. I want to empower other women to know that they absolutely can do whatever they desire. We often focus on making a lot of money, but I empower them to have a lot; this correlates to how they manage their finances.

If you've had some challenges and roadblocks along the way. Can you share with us what some of those challenges have been in regards to starting or running this business and how you overcame them?

Chaos, overwhelm, feeling what they call imposter syndrome. I overcame by leaning into the person that I am, I have always done great in the workforce and working for myself will be no different. I started to plan my days, created some boundaries, outsourced things that were overwhelming me the most, got an assistant,  hired a coach.

Let's talk about the services you offer, who do you help, and how do you help?

I offer 1:1 show me how bookkeeping service
Monthly ongoing service
Clean-up service
Maximize Profit Audit

I help women entrepreneurs, freelancers in service based industry mainly coaches not interested in outsourcing their bookkeeping do it themselves, improve their finances, leverage tax strategies & maximize profits! I also offer done-for you services if they do.

What's your best advice for those that desire to improve their business finances?

First, you must know where you are. How much money do you have coming in? How much money do you have going out? What is your realistic goal? Once these things are known, take action without excuses. Get support from someone who knows how to do what it is that you are trying to do, have an accountability partner, hire someone to work with you or for you whichever is best for you!

With all that you've accomplished so far, did setting goals contribute to your success so far?

Absolutely, I started setting goals early on while I was still trying to figure things out.

Here at GoalSetters, we like to say " A Goal Without A Plan is Just A Wish", what's your advice on the best way that people can go about accomplishing the goals that they set?

I am an avid believer in God and his word so most importantly Write your vision and make it plan, you need to know what it is that you desire, Write it down, Start saying affirmations about it, set reminders on your phone that remind you of it. (I have 3 alarms in addition to my morning alarm that remind help affirm my goal)

In closing, for those that may require your services or may need mentorship, how can they connect with you?
