I have had challenges such as feeling like my industry was oversaturated and imposter syndrome. Being a new business owner was one of the most scary and unpredictable things for me.

Founder  Lively Credit Solutions

Can you tell us what type of business you run and how long you've been operating this business?

I run a credit restoration business. I have been running my business for one year now.

Can you share with us some details about how you got started in the Credit Industry?

As an adolescent I was uneducated about finances and credit. As I grew into adulthood I experienced many setbacks due to the lack of knowledge regarding finances. This only fueled me to dig deeper on how to manage credit and how it works. Today I am a board certified credit specialist and I have helped many people reach their desired credit goals.

If you've had some challenges and roadblocks along the way, Can you share with us what some of those challenges have been in regards to starting or running this business and how you overcame them?

I have had challenges such as feeling like my industry was oversaturated and imposter syndrome. Being a new business owner was one of the most scary and unpredictable things for me. At times I almost talked myself out of it.

As I continued to educate myself more, join groups, and network with realtors. I slowly overcame my imposter syndrome, and found out I have a lot to offer in this industry. My niche is geared towards personal/business credit education.

Let's talk about the services you offer, who do you help, and how do you help?

Our services I offer are challenging items on credit reports, monthly debt literacy calls, and rebuilding. Items that are challenged are: Personal info, collections, charge offs, late payments, student loans, medical bills, repos, inquiries, and bankruptcies. The rebuilding requires our clients to understand how adding positive credit will increase their points. The restoration and rebuilding process works together and allows my clients to reach their desired credit score in a timely manner.

Most  individuals and couples who need my services are wanting to improve the quality of their financial situation. Most people I help have goals such as purchasing a home, buying a car, lower car and life insurance rates and more.

What's your best advice for those that desire to improve their personal finances?

Prioritize expenses and goals and don’t expect their budgeting to be perfect.

Set up auto pay and make sure bills are paid on time. Go back to revisit their budget, because sometimes expenses and their budget can change over time.

With all that you've accomplished so far, did setting goals contribute to your success so far?

Absolutely goal setting helped me to just simply start my business. I always script and write my ideas and goals down. Setting goals helps me to be more accountable for myself. I am very grateful for my success so far.

Here at GoalSetters, we like to say " A Goal Without A Plan is Just A Wish", what's your advice on the best way that people can go about accomplishing the goals that they set?

My advice is “If the Plan doesn’t work, change the plan, not the Goal.

In closing, for those that may require your services or may need mentorship, how can they connect with you?
