Online networking to gain clients has been a real issue for me.  I am a very private person and opening up my social media so that anyone can see what I am doing was very scary.

Can you tell us what type of business you run and how long you've been operating this business?

I have a virtual Bookkeeping service based in Lexington, TX.  Pinnacle Bookkeeping Solutions, LLC was launched in August of 2021.

Can you share with us some details about how you got started in the Bookkeeping Industry?

I have touched on bookkeeping all throughout my adult life and I have entertained the idea of having a business many times.  It wasn’t until I saw an ad for Stay at Home Bookkeeper that I really thought it was doable and had a nice income.

If you've had some challenges and roadblocks along the way, Can you share with us what some of those challenges have been in regards to starting or running this business and how you overcame them?

Online networking to gain clients has been a real issue for me.  I am a very private person and opening up my social media so that anyone can see what I am doing was very scary.  Unfortunately, in this day and age, it's the way of life for most people and businesses.

In our talks you said, “I got my degree while sitting in the passenger seat at 70 mph.”

Can you talk a little bit about how that happened and the motivation behind that accomplishment?

In 2011, after working with a local race horse trainer on his billing and receivables, I decided to enroll in an online degree program.  In that same year, I learned how to drive a truck hauling race horses all over the country.  This was a team driving opportunity - meaning the truck never stopped.  When I wasn’t driving, I sat in the passenger for several hours a day working on class assignments and interacting with my professors.  It was challenging to say the least, but I completed my degree in March of 2015.

Let's talk about the services you offer, who do you help, and how do you help?

I offer a full service bookkeeping service.  Currently, I do not offer tax planning or preparation but this is a growth module for the future.  I help business owners organize their books in order to determine growth potential and identify weak areas to trim expenditures.

With all that you've accomplished so far, did setting goals contribute to your success so far?

Most definitely.

Here at GoalSetters, we like to say " A Goal Without A Plan is Just A Wish", what's your advice on the best way that people can go about accomplishing the goals that they set?

Find a mentor, someone who has experience in the field or industry.  They’ve already waded through the mistakes and know the shortcuts to success.  This may cost money in the beginning, but the return on investment is certain.

In closing, for those that may require your services or may need mentorship, how can they connect with you?

I can be reached through my website www.pin-books.com, facebook @gwensbookkeeping and Linkedin, https://www.linkedin.com/company/pinnacle-bookkeeping-solutions-llc.
